Promotion of Access to Information Act Compliance Manual
To protect privacy, information requests under PAIA undergo strict validation to ensure records are only released to legally authorized requesters.
Official PAIA request forms and fee schedules are managed by the school office. Reach out to coordinate your request.
Contact School OfficeThis manual is compiled in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), Act No. 2 of 2000 of South Africa. PAIA gives effect to the constitutional right of access to any information held by public and private bodies that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights. As a public educational institution, Mfundo Thuto Secondary School is committed to transparency, compliance, and accountability.
While we respect the constitutional right of access to information, Mfundo Thuto Secondary School must ensure that records are managed with the utmost care. To prevent identity theft, malicious profiling, or breaches of privacy, we govern record releases through the following security checks:
Requesters must present certified South African ID copies or legal proxies. Information will not be released without verifiable confirmation of identity.
Requests must specify the right the requester wishes to protect and why the school's record is necessary for the protection of that right.
Records containing personal identifiers of other learners or parents will be heavily redacted or denied to protect third-party confidentiality rights.
All requested digital records are transmitted securely using password protection or encryption to prevent interception during delivery.
Requests for access to records must be directed to the school Principal, who acts as the Information Officer:
